LDC gallery is currently holding an exhibition of Mongolian art featuring artists Hadku Samdan and Elbegzaya Khaltar. We are proud to announce that on Monday 29th December 2009 at 1.30pm His Excellency Mr Bulgaa Altangerel Mongolian Ambassador to the UK and The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Garry Peltzer Dunn will be visiting the gallery to view the exhibition..

Hadkhu Samdan studied fine art in Ulan Bator where he now lives and works and is considered one of the finest watercolourists in Mongolia. His dynamic work combines traditional Mongolian themes with modern ideas to create fresh, exciting images that reflect the rapid changes in his country since gaining independence from the former USSR.

Elbegzaya Khaltar graduated from the Institute of fine arts, Mongolia as a painter and Lecturer in 1995. Her work is based on the traditional Nagtan (black and white) technique with influences drawn from both Buddhism and Shamanism bringing a dream like quality to traditionalthemes of rural and nomadic life.

Both Hadkhu and Elbegzaya have featured in many specialist art publications and haveexhibited worldwide.

Hadkhu and Zaya will be demonstrating their work during the visit and we very much look forward to welcoming our guests and visitors to the gallery during the day.
