BEGINNERS SILK PAINTING COURSE

The Beginners Course is designed for a total beginner as an introduction to silk painting.

The course runs from 9am – 4pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Lunch is not included in the course fee, but is available locally or alternatively you can bring your own packed lunch or sandwiches. Coffee, tea & biscuits are on tap!

Fee: 1 day = £65 Per Person (if part of a group of 4)

Fee: 1 day = £120 Per Person (1 on 1 training)

Maximum of 4 people per day

COURSE INCLUDES

Introduction to materials and dyes.
Demonstration on how to use Spirit based Gutta.
Demonstration on how to use the dyes (Dupont – France)
Introduction to the Salt Technique.
Introduction to the Alcohol & Water Techniques.

ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED FOR THE COURSE

Dyes, Gutta, Pipette, Brushes, Silk, Art Pallette, Salt, Frames & Pins, Pencil, Scissors, Hairdryer, Masking Tape, Alcohol, Paint Rag, Water & water pot, Patterns.

At the end of the course you will have your very own silk painting.

Your piece will be steam fixed by me and sent to you by post. Please bring a stamped, self addressed A3 envelope with you to the course.

DRESS CODE

Old clothes, flat shoes or trainers (no high heels), no loose-fitting long jewellery.
