BEGINNERS SILK PAINTING COURSE

The Beginners Course is designed for a total beginner as an introduction to silk painting.

The course runs from 9am – 4pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Lunch is not included in the course fee, but is available locally.

All materials are supplied for the duration of the course.

Fee: As part of a group: £60/per person (8 minimum)
Fee: As a One-to-One lesson: £300

COURSE INCLUDES

A brief history of silk painting
Introduction to materials and dyes.
Demonstration on how to use Spirit based Gutta.
Demonstration on how to use the dyes (Dupont – France)
Introduction to the Salt Technique.
Introduction to the Alcohol & Water Techniques.

ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED FOR THE COURSE

Dyes, Gutta, Pipette, Brushes, Silk, Art Pallette, Salt, Frames & Pins, Pencil, Scissors, Hairdryer, Masking Tape, Alcohol & Salt, Paint Rag, Water & water pot, Patterns.

At the end of the course you will have your very own silk painting.

Your piece will be steam fixed by me and sent to you by post. Please bring a stamped, self addressed A3 envelope with you to the course.
